Learning from Patients and Healthcare Professionals

From my second year of medical school onward, I volunteered within healthcare settings, gaining valuable experience of patient care and clinical practice. I actively volunteered and sought opportunities to gain practical insight into patient care and clinical medicine. These experiences strengthened my communication skills, professionalism, teamwork, and understanding of the responsibilities carried by healthcare professionals.

During hospital placements, including experience at Al-Aqsa Hospital, I observed patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment while gaining first-hand insight into the realities of healthcare delivery and learning the importance of sound clinical judgement and compassionate care. These experiences confirmed my desire to pursue medicine and taught me the importance of remaining calm, compassionate, and professional under pressure.
