Representing the Voice of Young Palestinians

Throughout my life, I have sought opportunities not only to learn but also to advocate for education and opportunity.

As a child, I had the privilege of representing Palestinian children at the United Nations and advocating for every child's right to education. This experience helped me develop confidence, leadership, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of global citizenship.

Beyond my medical studies, I have always been committed to promoting education, opportunity, and hope.

As a child, I had the privilege of representing Palestinian children at the United Nations and advocating for every child's right to education. This experience taught me leadership, communication, confidence, and the responsibility of speaking on behalf of others.

The experience taught me that leadership is not about recognition; it is about using one's voice to support others and contribute positively to society.

Leadership roles:

Between 2017 and 2019, I helped establish the Central Student Parliament serving UNRWA students across five countries. This experience allowed me to represent student perspectives, promote educational opportunity and collaborate across diverse communities.

In 2018 I was elected President of the Student Parliament, further developing my skills in leadership, public speaking, teamwork and advocacy.

In September 2017 I also spoke at a United Nations event supporting educational fundraising initiatives.

My understanding of leadership

I learned that meaningful leadership is rooted in service, empathy, and a commitment to helping others achieve their potential.

These experiences continue to influence my approach to medicine and my desire to advocate for patients and communities facing barriers to healthcare.
